Our holiday in 2009 took us to Bali...

Two weeks at the easter coast of the island, close to harbour to start with nice diving activities

Lotus Bungalows and Gangga Divers:

To avoid too much of tourismn we have booked a bungalow in a small hotel in Candi Dasa (name means: 1.000 Temple), a small fisher village at the north east coast of Bali.
Besides diving we did trips into the centre of the island as well. Candi Dasa is a good place to start those trips, as said far away from touristic trouble...

... a place that we can recommend to all of our friends!!!

The hotel is officially a three / four star hotel only.
But service, friendliness of the staff and especially of the hosts / managers Henriette and Jan as well as the location, quality of service, diving, rooms, ... deserves seven stars at least...
We felt more than welcome during our stay (and where sad when we had to leave...).
We have booked 2 weeks there, fortunately, hence extension of the stay is pretty difficult, they are often booked out and have - fortunaltely as well- only 10 bungalows with 20 rooms. Atmosphere is very familiar, which we liked a lot...

The dive centre is small, but offers excellent and diversified diving. With two speed boats and Tulamben / Liberty by car almost all top spots of Bali places can be reached easily. Jan takes very much care that the guest can dive at different places and he makes sure that there are not too many divers on one boat / at one spot.
We did two courses over there, Nitrox and drift diver special, both with Jan. He is an excellent teacher and we can only recommend that, in case you are interested, you do some courses there... it's worthwhile...

It was definitely a remarkable vacation, thanks to all of you guys down there in Bali for those unforgettable 14 days we spent with you...

We are looking forward to come back to see you again... Honestly speaking - 5 days after our return to Germany we already dreamed of flying back to Bali and Lotus Bungalows...
